B.E.R.M.; MECHOW, Norwid.

Berlin: [B.E.R.M.]. [1988]. Pamphlet is 4 pages, VG cond., 4 x 6 inches, folded once. The poster is 11 1/2 x 16 1/2 inches, VG cond., but is folded three times for mailing (it is 4 1/2 x 6 inches folded).

Berlin's B.E.R.M. collective organized one of the largest mail art exhibitions in East German history, "Recyling Mail Art-Projekt," held at Kulturhaus Potsdam in 1989. "Recycling" referred to making new mail art from existing mail art pieces. The pamphlet here is a call for submissions for the exhibition (it was mailed to John Held, a significant mail artist in his own right). The poster is by a member of the collective, Norwid Mechow.
